Direct School Admission Exercise 2009



Fairfield Methodist School (Secondary) welcomes applications from Primary 6 students in the current academic year to take part in the Direct School Admission (DSA) Exercise. We recognise your talents and will provide an environment which nurtures your abilities and enables you to reach your fullest potential.

Successful students will gain admission into FMS(S) for the academic year beginning January 2010 and will complete their secondary school education in FMS(S) as long as they meet the set criteria for DSA to FMS(S) and pass the PSLE.

Application Procedure
1. Please download the Application Form here.
2. Instructions for students currently not studying in our national schools:
- All foreigners and returning Singaporeans (citizens and PRs), please obtain a Registration Number from the MOE Customer Service Centre before application.  The Registration Number must be indicated in the DSA Application Form on submission.
3. Send completed forms with supporting documents to FMSS via post or in person.  (Please note that all incomplete application forms or application forms without the necessary supporting documents will not be accepted.)
4. Applicants who fulfill all the criteria will be notified to attend selection trials/ aptitude tests.
5. Short-listed applicants from the selection trials/ aptitude tests will be invited to attend an interview.


Closing Date for submission:30 June 2009 (Tuesday)



Results of DSA Applications

Applicants will know the outcome of their DSA application by 4 September 2009 (Friday)


Admission to Secondary School


Successful applicants will collect their DSA results from their primary schools on the day of the PSLE results release. On the day of release of Secondary 1 Posting results, successful DSA applicants are required to collect their PSLE certificates and Report Books from their primary schools. They are to report to the secondary school admitted to on the next working day for registration/orientation.
