| Q1 What
type of School is Fairfield Methodist School (Secondary)? |
| Fairfield Methodist School (Secondary)
is
- Government-Aided,
- Autonomous
- Mixed; and
- Single Session
FMS(S) is a school with rich Christian heritage and tradition.
The School provides a well-balanced education with a vision
of growing every Fairsian to be an Active Learner (pursuing
academic excellence) and an Influential Leader (developing
character, competencies and emphasis on serving the community).
We promote active participation in CCA and are very supportive
of enrichment programmes.
|
| |
| Q2 What
does being an Autonomous School mean? |
| The Autonomous Schools are given greater
autonomy, and more funds to enable them to provide a wider
range of innovative and enrichment programmes to enhance education
benefits to pupils and develop their talents.
The Autonomous Schools adhere to broad education policies
set by the Ministry of Education and admit pupils based on
merit. Thus, the school charges an additional fee of $3.00
(Autonomous School Fees) to cover the costs of the enhanced
educational programmes we offer.
